Untitled, From the Eternal Bloom Series
Lose yourself in Muna's stunning and magical allegorical garden
Enjoy the fairytale beauty of flowering trees, shrubs and vines, home to birds, big and small; peacocks who strut proudly, flying herons, and puffed up sparrows and thrushes. Flowers of every hue, shape and size that attract bees, butterflies and dragonflies. A maiden rests, seemingly asleep on a bed of velvety grass and there are lovers in a grove holding hands, taking in their magical surrounds.
In her work, Muna creates a dialogue about the eastern woman, her relationships with the world, her quandaries as seen in her willingness yet restraint in the couples’ pose. She wants the viewer to feel her place in the cosmos as she acknowledges the beauty of her paradise yet is aloof from the detail and violence of nature.
