Khadi X Square Midnight Blue
Our Khadi X Squares combine the arts of handloom, tie-dye, block print and embroidery, going through the hands of several artisanal groups before they end up on our shelves.
Once the khadi is woven, it is tie-dyed using AZO free dyes on one diagonal. It is then block printed in a chevron print using hand-carved wooden blocks on the other diagonal. The khadi is so light that the block print is seen through the coloured portion of the scarf, creating a delicate and rich texture. Finally, the scarf is accented with small, hand embroidered crossed by members of the Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) who live in the destitute areas of outer New Delhi, India.
Finished with a feathery fringe and available in five colour ways.
