Recipe Bag - Halwa Puri

A breakfast and snack staple, suji ka halwa is a traditional dessert. It is also served with crispy puri for breakfast. The recipe is simple and the color of the halwa varies from light to bold golden, crunchy dry fruits add to its flavour.
Halwa Ingredients: Suji (semolina), water, sugar, oil, crushed almonds and pistachios, kewra (optional)
Puri is flat bread deep-fried in oil. It is served with chana masala (chick pea curry), aaloo bhaji (potato curry), along with sweet suji halwa.
Puri Ingredients: all purpose flour, water, oil & a pinch of salt. Oil to fry.
