Documenting and celebrating the heritage architecture in Old town Karachi
One of the oldest mosques in Karachi, Kutchi memon masjid is a beautiful 19th century mosque built in 1893.
The sandstone structure has an incredible intricately detailed facade with pistachio and rust coloured floral elements along with arched windows running across the facade. The panel windows allow ample amount of natural light and air inside the space highlighting the pistachio coloured interior. Stark sun rays passing through the stained glass and shining terrazzo floor is one of my favourite things to experience here.
